The course is organised by the Central Baltic funded project CeMeWE. Service design is about solving problems for private and public organisations by thinking about what their customers need. In the CeMeWE Introductory Service Design course, you’ll learn how to come up with new ideas for products or services. You’ll work with a group of women on a real project for an organisation in your country of residence. By the end of the course, you’ll have a plan to fix a problem for the organisation you’re working with. Learning service design means gaining skills to solve problems creatively. You can use these skills towards becoming a service designer one day or apply them in any job where you need to think of new solutions.

The course is taught by senior specialist Hilkka Lydén and communications & marketing expert Olga Hryb from Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Finland). Hilkka is the manager of the i4L living lab for integration and language learning and a design practitioner and researcher. Olga has led several international communication campaigns and developed strategies for Ukrainian immigrants in Espoo. She has managed community projects and provided counselling through the Hello Espoo info service to support immigrant integration.
