ISMEF: Nordic Mobility Goes Global – Real Results, Real Impact

The ISMEF project (“Increasing international sales in the intelligent and sustainable mobility sectors of Estonia and Finland”) is accelerating the global ambitions of Finnish and Estonian mobility and ICT companies. With five months still to go, ISMEF has already delivered tangible results and created new opportunities for cross-border innovation.

What’s ISMEF all about?

ISMEF supports SMEs in Finland and Estonia to develop and export competitive mobility solutions to North America, the Gulf region, and the UK. The project offers market intelligence, matchmaking, skills development, and international branding for companies in the ITS Finland and ITS Estonia networks.

Key outcomes so far

• 5 international sales achieved:
  • 4 in the Gulf region
  • 1 in the United States
• Approximately 150 companies have participated in ISMEF activities, far exceeding the original engagement target.
• Dozens of events, webinars, and workshops have connected companies with local experts and global opportunities.
• Companies are already introducing new marketing and organizational innovations as a direct result of ISMEF support.

What’s next?

In the final months, ISMEF will focus on supporting even more companies to enter new markets and ensuring that Nordic mobility expertise is recognized globally.
