Latvian Partners Visit Watergratt Pirita for Knowledge Exchange on Water Safety and first programme testing

As part of the WSM (Water Safety Methodology) project under the Central Baltic Partnership programme, we were pleased to host our Latvian partners from the Latvian Beach Lifeguard Association at our site in Tallinn.

During the visit, our colleagues explored and observed our training methodology and shared their own practices and insights. This exchange of experience and expertise has been instrumental in shaping the foundation for a joint methodology on water safety education for youth. During those session we’ve already tested some elements of the programme we’re jointly creating to reach a common ground on the content and delivery. A theoretical part took place in Tallinn Mustjõe Gymnasium, where we’ve tested the programme with the help of 10-12 grade students. After that followed the practical session in the water, where youngster got a chance to put their newly gained knowledge into practice.

International cooperation plays a key role in the success of the WSM project, and we are proud to see it moving forward through meaningful collaboration.

Stay tuned for further updates and support us in building a safer future for young people around water!
