LEF Network Azerbaijan: Highlights from the Trade Mission and Business Forum

Within the framework of the LEF Network Azerbaijan project, the incoming trade mission from Azerbaijan to the Central Baltic region — Estonia, Finland, and Latvia — took place on 24–28 November. The programme in Tallinn, Helsinki, and Riga brought together 14 Azerbaijani companies, who participated in B2B meetings, company visits, and the international business forum “Focus on Azerbaijan. New Business Opportunities.”

The business forum “Focus on Azerbaijan. New Business Opportunities”, held at the Estonian Business School in Tallinn, gathered entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and business support organisations from Azerbaijan, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland. During the forum, participants discussed new opportunities for cooperation, export development, and investment potential, with a special focus on the future of collaboration between Azerbaijan and the Central Baltic region.

The incoming trade mission on 24–28 November to Tallinn, Helsinki, and Riga was the final and one of the most significant activities of the LEF Network Azerbaijan project. Fourteen Azerbaijani companies took part, each receiving an individual programme with tailored B2B meetings, company and organisation visits, and practical opportunities to negotiate concrete cooperation. The group visited the Azerbaijan House in Estonia, the DHL office, and numerous other companies in Latvia, Estonia, and Finland. The week was intensive, as nearly every Azerbaijani company had its own personalised agenda. During the mission, a cooperation agreement was signed between Helmi Learning (Finland) and Landau School (Azerbaijan), demonstrating the project’s long-term and sustainable results.

This incoming trade mission served as the concluding and one of the most important activities of the LEF Network Azerbaijan project, providing a practical demonstration of the project’s achievements — new business contacts, concrete cooperation agreements, and strengthened cross-border ties between Azerbaijan and the Central Baltic region, creating a solid foundation for future joint initiatives and export development.

The project is co-financed by the Interreg Central Baltic Programme. The lead partner is the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Latvia), and it is implemented together with Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (Finland), the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Estonia), and the Caspian Energy Club (Azerbaijan).
