Meet the Sustainable Flow Experts 4/7: Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises (Transportföretagen)

The Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises (Transportföretagen) is an umbrella organisation for seven associations and numerous companies in the transportation sector in Sweden. In Sustainable Flow, it is responsible for cooperation with the pilot ports of Norrköping and Oxelösund, as well as coordinating the digital tool development in the ports. By driving collaboration and digital development, the organisation plays a central role in transferring knowledge, facilitating implementation, and ensuring practical outcomes both nationally and across the Central Baltic region.

This article series introduces the experts behind the Sustainable Flow project, continuing with the Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises (Transportföretagen). We asked their team of two experts to share who they are, what their role in the project is, what they find important or innovative about it, and to offer a glimpse into their lives outside of work.

With a background in business and operational development, I have led numerous projects aimed at improving processes and boosting competitiveness across sectors. Currently, I work as a Project Manager at Transportföretagen, and I am representing our organization in this project as the lead of the EU-funded project Sustainable Flow.

As the project lead at Transportföretagen, I contribute to driving innovation and supporting coordination efforts across the project’s seven pilot ports in the Baltic Sea region. What I enjoy most is the collaborative spirit, bringing together experts from different countries to co-develop tangible solutions that make a difference in reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency.

Sustainable Flow shifts the spotlight from vessels to port operations, highlighting that ports also play a key role in reducing emissions. The project’s digital tool, which helps ports measure and analyze CO₂ emissions while suggesting improvement actions, represents a significant step forward. It empowers better decision-making and accelerates the green transition in port logistics.

In my free time, I like to stay active and spend time with good friends.

I work as Web Manager at Transportföretagen. Over the years, I’ve led several complex web projects – always with a strong focus on creating value for users, members, and visitors. My background combines digital strategy with hands-on experience in content and web development.

In the Sustainable Flow project, I serve as a digital expert supporting our pilot ports in developing the digital tool. What I enjoy most is getting to know the ports’ operations in depth – and knowing that I’m contributing to helping them make strategic decisions that reduce emissions.

What makes the project valuable is its focus on gradual, real-world change: Sustainable Flow shines a light on the vital role of ports and their strong commitment to making more sustainable, conscious choices – step by step.

Like many others, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I play the piano, travel when I can, and take long walks in nature to recharge.
