Over 120 Students Have Started Wood for Youth Training Across Estonia, Finland, and Latvia

The Wood for Youth training programme is now live, and the first students in Estonia, Finland, and Latvia have already started their learning journey. This marks a major milestone for the pilot initiative, which aims to equip young people with future-proof skills in sustainable wood construction.

The Wood for Youth e-learning programme offers young individuals aged 16–25 an interactive and flexible pathway into the industrial timber construction sector. Developed collaboratively by partners in Estonia, Finland, and Latvia, the programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience to prepare participants for careers in modern wood construction.

The training includes courses on factory-based production and the erection of prefabricated buildings, delivered through e-learning and supported by hands-on sessions.

The initial target for the first intake was to enroll 75 students, but the programme has already attracted over 120 young people across all three countries—demonstrating strong interest in the sector and the relevance of the training.
