Students trained in project work – a new kick from service design for the VINCE project

One of the starting points for teaching at the universities of applied sciences is working life orientation, which is implemented in projects, among other things. Students encounter real-life tasks in them, while at the same time bringing new insights into the topics being discussed.

In the VINCE project, new expertise was gained in service design. It was utilized when social sector students walked into immigrant organisations in the area and into Turku International House to collect information about customers’ needs and experiences as users of immigration services.
