Textile Testing Course: Practical Skills for Professional Growth

Riga Technical University is hosting one-day Textile Testing Course designed for women who are interested in strengthening their technical knowledge, refreshing skills, or exploring new professional directionswithin the textile and materials field.
This course offers a balanced combination of clear theoretical guidance and hands-on laboratory experience, allowing participants to gain practical insight into textile testing methods, equipment, and real-life applications. It is especially suited for women who value structured learning, applied knowledge, and meaningful skill development.
The course will be led by Inga Dāboliņa, head and senior researcher of the Personal Protective Equipment Laboratory at Riga Technical University, who will guide participants step by step through the testing process from understanding equipment and procedures to analyzing results through case studies and discussion. The learning environment is supportive, professional, and designed to encourage confidence and participation at every stage.

The course will provide:
• A structured introduction to textile testing and laboratory practices;
• Hands-on experience with textile testing equipment;
• Practical understanding of testing procedures and observations;

The event will take place on 2nd February, 2026, in Mush Room, RTU Science and Innovation centre, from 09:00 until 17:00. The Textile Testing course can be attended only with previous registration done through the link below until January 29.
