The EASWork report highlights inclusive employment practices in Finland and Estonia
We have conducted 60 in-depth interviews in Finland and Estonia with migrants of various ages and backgrounds from across the globe. The aim has been to uncover the real barriers migrants face when entering the labour market and while working and most importantly, to identify actionable solutions for employers. The collected material includes over 70 hours of transcribed interviews. Through thematic content analysis, we’ve extracted insights that offer a nuanced understanding of the challenges individuals encounter, from recruitment to retention, and the opportunities for creating more inclusive and diverse workplaces.
Based on the analysis of the interviews, we have compiled a report that presents the key findings. It explores the various barriers that migrants face in employment and provides clear, accessible guidance for companies looking to address discrimination and improve diversity. Each chapter concludes with concrete policy recommendations that companies can implement directly.
