Workshop with ensembles performaning from two locations

19 May 2026. Riksteatern and Sundsvall Teater hosted the Närvaro På Distans (Remote Presence) workshop on the project’s low latency technology. The workshop was held in conjunction with ACROSS’ sister project ANSEL from Interreg Aurora and was a great success.

The two stages, located in Hallunda & Sundsvall Sweden, were connected using the remote stations. Participants from Åland, Stockholm region and Sundsvall spent the day learning about the technology, its origins, its development and its possible uses. They were treated to a rap battle between the two stages, a quartet performance, and sing-along performance of the nationally-known song Stad i Ljus.
