Great results from the 1st round – let’s do that again with the 2nd!

The first year of the CDG-Booster Accelerator has demonstrated what focused support and cross-border collaboration can achieve. Participating companies have refined their business models, strengthened their market positioning, expanded their networks, and, in several cases, launched new titles, gained international visibility, secured partnerships, and achieved commercial success. Through mentoring, workshops and peer exchange, the programme has provided a structured environment for growth-oriented companies operating at the intersection of games, immersive technologies and creative industries.

Building on these experiences, we are now opening applications for the second round of the CDG-Booster Accelerator. We are looking for ambitious companies working in game technologies, creative industries, AR, VR, XR and related digital experience fields who are ready to scale, enter new markets, and further develop their products and services.

In addition to the Accelerator programme, we welcome anyone interested in these fields to join our growing Discord community and explore our open learning resources at www.cdgbooster.com. Our platforms offer networking opportunities, expert insights and curated tools to support sustainable growth and business development at your own pace.

Learning resources for busy entrepreneurs

Microlearning refers to short, focused learning units designed to build knowledge and skills in small, manageable steps. Instead of long courses or extensive training programmes, microlearning delivers targeted content such as short videos, concise articles, checklists or mini-courses that address a specific topic or problem. The format allows learners to concentrate on one clear theme at a time, making learning more practical and easier to integrate into daily work.

For startups and growing companies, time is often the main barrier to upskilling. Microlearning helps teams learn in short sessions between meetings, development sprints, or customer work. Rather than searching across multiple platforms for reliable content, companies can access curated resources through the CDG-Booster learning platform at https://www.cdgbooster.com/resources. The platform brings together selected tools, guides and learning materials related to digitalisation, business development, immersive technologies and growth, saving time and lowering the threshold for continuous learning.

The first round of the CDG-Booster Accelerator programme has finished!

The CDG-Booster Accelerator programme, aimed at boosting the growth of selected companies, will have a full list of promising companies starting their year-long journey on April 3rd. The first application round produced many applications, of which the CDG-Booster team of experts could select the most prominent from all three countries: Sweden, Finland, and Estonia. Some businesses might not yet be fit for the programme. Still, with a little boost, they might be able to gain access when the next application round starts next year through participation in other CDG-Booster activities.

CDG-Booster Accelerator Programme is now accepting applications

Are you developing a company in VR, AR, XR, the metaverse, or game development? If you want to scale your business using new technologies, consider applying for the CDG-Booster ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME. The Accelerator focuses on:

– Raising investments

– Establishing a presence outside the home market

– Developing business models and new products/services

– Expanding your team

The program runs in two 12-month rounds, accepting 25 companies per round. It’s open to businesses established for 5-7 years that aim to grow through digitalization, gamification, and immersive technologies.

To apply, submit your application with the following information:

Participants will be selected based on a one-page summary and a live pitch. Each company will receive a dedicated mentor, tailored mentorship, hybrid workshops, and access to key industry events.

CDG-Booster to Participate in sTARTUp Day and Launch Accelerator Programme

The CDG-Booster project, funded by the Interreg Central Baltic Programme, is set to participate in sTARTUp Day, one of the Baltic region’s largest and most influential business festivals. As part of this prestigious event, CDG-Booster will be at the XR Mixer, a side event organized by the Estonian Virtual and Augmented Reality Association and Sparkup Tartu Science Park. The XR Mixer brings together professionals from the XR industry and other fields, offering networking opportunities, hands-on demonstrations of immersive technologies, and insights into their business applications.

At the XR Mixer, CDG-Booster will officially launch its Accelerator Programme. The programme targets SMEs and entrepreneurs developing immersive technologies such as VR, XR, AR, training software, and games. Additionally, the accelerator welcomes participants from other industries to explore how these technologies can drive business growth and innovation.

The Accelerator Programme offers free workshops, mentorship, and networking opportunities to support the growth and competitiveness of SMEs. Companies not selected for the accelerator will still benefit from CDG-Booster’s open learning platform and opportunities to join a cross-border community of like-minded businesses. The accelerator application will open on 30 JANUARY 2025, and the link will appear on this website.
