About project

ongoing

The three-year FinEst4Ukraine project is tailored for Finnish and Estonian small and medium-sized companies seeking partnerships, financing, and reconstruction projects in Ukraine that should result into sales agreements to Ukraine.

Rebuilding Ukraine is set to be Europe’s largest reconstruction effort since WWII, with costs now estimated at over €500 billion. While the environment is high-risk and high-reward, early involvement offers valuable experience and partnerships for the major post-war rebuilding phase. Finland and Estonia, strong supporters of Ukraine, are actively encouraging their SMEs to engage with the Ukrainian market, even during the ongoing conflict.

We help Finnish and Estonian SMEs enter the Ukrainian market

Many SMEs lack knowledge and information about market entry and business opportunities related to Ukraine’s reconstruction. They need more information on the market landscape, local partners and customers, investment projects, and financing options.

We will identify Ukrainian opportunities and investment projects for our customers, organize meetings and events with Ukrainian project owners and business stakeholders, and introduce SMEs to Ukrainian business culture and practices.

In practice, we

  • advice companies to get prepared for market entry
  • find partners and establish customer relationships
  • arrange trade missions to and from Ukraine

Building new networks is a key element

We will form cross-border clusters and value chains to deliver solutions for Ukrainian end customers. Connecting international financing institutions with our customers is vital for the project’s success.

We organize cross-border events and webinars to promote Finnish and Estonian SMEs in Ukraine, and we use various marketing channels to communicate opportunities. Our focus is on Ukraine’s priority industries, as defined by the Ukrainian government and international financial organizations. We collaborate with the best possible partners. For SMEs we advise to start small but act fast.

How to start?

Together, we map your company’s status, needs, objectives, and resources. We aim to help you to find the best available support that matches your interests, or to connect you with potential end customers.

Priority industries rise from real business needs

  1. Infrastructure and construction
  2. Energy
  3. Defence, security and resilience
  4. Healthcare and education
