No Digifear

The Central Baltic project No Digifear was launched to address the growing digital divide faced by women over 40 in Sweden and Latvia—particularly those who are unemployed or at risk of losing their jobs. In today’s labour market, digital competence is increasingly essential, yet many women in this age group lack the necessary skills to stay competitive.

No Digifear supports these women by offering a six-month development programme designed to build both digital skills and confidence. The programme includes workshops, lectures, and one-on-one coaching on topics such as artificial intelligence, digital safety, and productivity tools.

By strengthening digital competence, the project helps reduce the risk of unemployment and social exclusion—empowering participants to improve their job prospects and secure their place in the evolving workforce.

Expected results

The project will train 80 women over 40—40 from Sweden and 40 from Latvia—through beginner-friendly digital courses aimed at building both skills and confidence. Participants will receive the tools, resources, and support needed to successfully navigate their learning journey.

By boosting digital competence and reducing fear of technology, the project will open up better employment opportunities for participants. Cross-border cooperation between Sweden and Latvia will enrich the programme by combining knowledge and resources, strengthening regional connections and increasing impact.

By the project’s end, around 60 women are expected to have improved digital skills and a stronger foothold in the labour market. To ensure wider benefit, the project will also produce a comprehensive English-language handbook featuring step-by-step guides, case studies, best practices, and useful resources.
