Silver to Platinum supports people aged 55+ in Latvia, Finland and Estonia to strengthen the communication skills needed for today’s labour market. In many rural and border regions, people in this age group may have strong work experience but need more opportunities to update digital, intercultural and workplace communication skills. The project responds to this need by creating a joint multilingual training programme called “Communication Skills for Career Empowerment”. Through online learning, mentoring, practical assignments and international bootcamps, participants will build confidence in verbal, non-verbal, digital and cross-cultural communication. The project helps participants remain active in working life, improve their career prospects and participate more confidently in modern workplaces.
Silver to Platinum will involve 135 participants aged 55+ from Latvia, Finland and Estonia, with 45 participants from each country. They will take part in a three-month hybrid training programme delivered in three international cohorts, supported by mentoring, online learning, peer cooperation and practical feedback from entrepreneurs. At least 108 participants are expected to complete the programme and increase their competitiveness in the labour market. The project will also organise three international bootcamps, one in each partner country, and participants will graduate with a certificate and personal portfolio to support future employment or career development. As a result, the project will strengthen confidence, communication skills and employability among people aged 55+ across the Central Baltic region.
