Silver Careers

Silver Careers aims to improve employment opportunities for people aged 55+ in Latvia, Estonia and Finland by strengthening their work-related digital skills, career management skills and confidence in the labour market. The project addresses the digital skills gap, age-related barriers and the underused potential of senior employees. Through a jointly developed one-year training programme, participants will take part in practical workshops, individual and team tasks, coaching, local and international learning sessions, and cross-border mobility activities. Employers will be involved to ensure that the training responds to real workplace needs.

Expected results

The project will involve 140 participants aged 55+ from Latvia, Estonia and Finland in a one-year programme focused on work-related digital skills and career management. At least 120 participants are expected to complete the full programme and receive certificates confirming their newly acquired skills.

Participants will become more confident, digitally skilled and better prepared to discuss career opportunities with current or potential employers. Through joint international sessions and at least 80 cross-border mobilities, the project will strengthen cooperation across the Central Baltic region and help older workers become more competitive in the labour market.
