Career counceling in “Your Future Profession”
Since the beginning of the 2nd cycle of “Your Future Profession”, participants from Latvia and Sweden have been working closely with career consultants to discover their strengths, explore professional opportunities, and take steps toward their futures. These sessions have been a key part of helping young people discover their talents and career paths that inspire them.
WHAT HAVE THE PARTICIPANTS GAINED?
- “Together with my career consultant, Solvita, we’ve uncovered talents and skills I didn’t fully realize I had and identified professions where they could be useful. Solvita is very sweet, and her genuine investment made it easy to open up and explore these possibilities.”
- “The sessions were quick, informative, and reassuring. I’m quite grounded in my professional decisions, therefore we focused more on the challenges of not immediately recognizing the right path, and explored alternative paths and internship opportunities that might interest me.”
- “It has been very rewarding to meet with a coach and reflect on the current situation I’m in. The best part has been exploring myself and setting goals that I’m aware I can achieve!”

- “The young people are motivated, focused on growth, and eager to improve their career management skills. They value the opportunity to attend career consultations and explore their professional development. While the consultations are ongoing, participants have already outlined their strengths and chosen paths – whether they are aiming to become entrepreneurs or employees. It’s inspiring to work with individuals who are not afraid of challenges and united by a desire for success. Participants are excited about the next steps and opportunities this project will bring!”

- “To be a coach in “Your Future Profession” is very inspiring, I love hearing the youths ambitions and dreams about their future. It is both challenging and rewarding trying to help them come forward in their decisions about what they want to do in their future regardless of it is career wise, studies or entrepreneurship. Many of the participants have said that it is very meaningful getting to talk to someone they do not know about these things, that it is easier to talk about their worries and hopes about their futures when it is not a friend or a family member. It is also very nice to see how much help they get from each other during our group coaching sessions.”
