Cycle4Climate Travel Survey is now open!
We are excited to announce that the first Cycle4Climate travel survey is now open! As part of our commitment to co-creating sustainable cycling solutions and reducing CO₂ emissions across the Central Baltic region, we invite residents and commuters of our case areas to share their insights that can help shape the future of everyday transportation in their city.
Cycle4Climate brings together cities and universities from Estonia, Finland, Latvia, and Sweden in a shared effort to promote environmentally responsible mobility.
The survey responses are collected in two waves in the selected case areas in each city:
- Keilaniemi–Otaniemi–Tapiola in Espoo, Finland
- Sörby–Urfjäll in Gävle, Sweden
- Pärnu City, Estonia
- Tornakalns–Ziepniekkalns in Riga, Latvia
The surveys will be conducted two years apart, in spring 2025 and 2027, and will provide input for local city authorities in planning Cycle4Climate project initiatives related to daily transportation.
The questionnaire includes questions about travel habits, values and attitudes, health, socio-demographic background, as well as opinions regarding different transportation modes, infrastructure, and transportation initiatives.
The surveys are conducted by the University of Tartu and the University of Gävle in partnership with the City of Espoo, City of Pärnu, Municipality of Gävle, and Riga City Council.
