Empowering the Entrepreneurial Spirit: A Journey of Discovery and Confidence

On February 7th, the second seminar of the project titled ‘Who Am I? What Am I? Am I Ready to Be an Entrepreneur?’ brought together its participants in Tallinn. The initial session focused on sources of idea generation, evaluation, and stages of development. Young women had the opportunity to explore these topics while being inspired by examples of successful female entrepreneurs in Estonia.

The seminar then shifted to discuss entrepreneurial competencies across three key areas: Ideas & Opportunities, Resources, and Into Action. The content expert elaborated on five competencies within each category, providing descriptions and real-life examples.

Next, businesswoman Julija Bulgakova took the stage to share her experience of launching Tallinn’s first zero-waste store. With passion, she illustrated her journey from concept to execution, emphasizing the importance of communication. She explained how telling your story can help pave the way for success. Julija also shared various strategies she used to promote her business, such as supporting local businesses, utilizing social center services, participating in government programs, and engaging in charitable activities.

The following presentation delved into the cultural aspects that must be considered when entering a new environment, a topic particularly relevant to the project’s target audience. The speaker explored adaptation stages, cultural differences, and how to blend cultures. These issues sparked an engaging discussion among the peers. The expert also introduced approaches, models, and methods for prioritizing ideas and goals.

The seminar concluded with a presentation from professional psychologist Ljudmila Preobraženskaja. Her talk, “How to Leverage My Strongest Traits and Improve Self-Confidence,” focused on vital topics for budding entrepreneurs. The tasks and presentations from the young women served as a bright and inspiring moment to wrap up the event.
