Silver Strategies presented at local Research Day
Satahyvää is an event which is aimed at experts, professionals and students working in the social, health and well-being sectors, as well as anyone interested in the subject in Satakunta region. Satakunta Social, Health and Welfare Research Day was organised on 30th October 2023.
Silver Strategies project was presented to the audience in session 3: Perspectives on work and well-being. Reetta-Kaisa Kuusiluoma presented project activities with the material “Collecting best practices in attracting and retaining silver age employees”.
The project was welcomed with interest. It was discussed that such measures are particularly needed around the employment of over 55-year-olds. Silver Strategies was found very relevant and topical.
The event was organised by the Satakunta Welfare Region, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), Diaconia University of Applied Sciences (Diak), Tampere University Pori Unit (Social Sciences) and Pikassos – The Centre of Excellence on Social Welfare. The day brought together researchers and developers in the social, health and well-being sectors to promote cooperation and raise the profile of research and development in the region.
