About project
The CulDif (Cultural and linguistic differences in labour market) project is an initiative aimed at supporting young people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds in Estonia and Finland. It seeks to turn challenges such as wage gaps, unemployment, and societal barriers into opportunities in the labor market. The project particularly focuses on national minorities who face higher unemployment rates and income disparities, often due to a lack of recognition for their multilingual skills and cultural insights. By helping participants recognize their unique strengths, CulDif empowers them to gain confidence, develop a realistic self-image, and explore entrepreneurial opportunities.
Through international collaboration, the project enhances participants’ business skills, English proficiency, and cross-border teamwork. Activities include workshops, entrepreneurship programs, and networking events that connect young people from both countries. Led by VitaTiim, a non-formal learning center, CulDif aligns with the Central Baltic Programme’s mission to improve employment prospects by equipping young people with the tools needed to succeed. Running from May 2024 to October 2025, the project provides hands-on learning experiences that help participants leverage their diverse backgrounds for future career success.
