Introduction to community services
Our higher education institutions work every day to bring health knowledge closer to the community!
We offer a wide range of community services designed to raise health awareness and make evidence-based health information and practical skills accessible to the wider public. Our services are intended for individuals, children, young people, educational institutions, businesses and other community organisations. Depending on the institution, these services cover a variety of health-related topics and activities, including health education sessions, practical workshops, training sessions and other initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles.
But what makes these services special?
Community services are an important part of our mission as higher education institutions. They allow us to share evidence-based health knowledge with the wider community while putting our expertise into practice. Equally important is the involvement of our students. By delivering activities under the guidance of lecturers, students gain valuable hands-on experience, apply their professional knowledge in real-life situations and develop their communication and practical skills. Most student-led community services are offered free of charge, helping to make health education more accessible to different groups in society. Through these activities, we strengthen our connection with the community and contribute to a healthier, more informed society.
By combining education, practical experience and community engagement, we create value for both our students and the communities we serve. Through the PULSE project, we hope to make our community services even more accessible and available to everyone who can benefit from them!
