TRACER-X

Urban transport generates high CO₂ emissions due to heavy car reliance and fragmented transit options. Transport Carbon Emission Reduction – Cross-border Exchange (TRACER-X) project bridges the gap between urban mobility challenges and innovators. Through real-world pilots across Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Sweden, the project co-creates and tests practical services that cut CO₂ emissions across the transport nodes in the Central Baltic region. TRACER-X invites tech solution providers to co-create and pilot practical services and solutions alongside municipalities, regional authorities, and local residents in real-world urban settings.

Expected results

TRACER-X will directly cut CO₂ emissions across the targeted transport hubs, delivering cleaner air, smoother journeys, and better travel choices for residents and commuters. By replacing isolated local efforts with a more unified cross-border framework, the project leaves behind practical tools and long-term plans that enable local authorities to keep reducing transport emissions long after the project ends.
