WoDiLab

In the Latgale region of Latvia and Southern Estonia, many women over 40 face obstacles in the labour market, such as a significant gender pay gap, outdated skills and limited employment opportunities. These challenges often lead to financial insecurity, even though these women have valuable life experience, skills and passions. The WoDiLab project empowers them to turn their knowledge into income by creating and launching online courses. This cross-border initiative not only promotes digital entrepreneurship but also strengthens the economic independence and self-confidence of women over 40 in the Baltic Sea region.

Expected results

The project will equip 80 women with the skills and support they need to create and publish their own online courses to boost their confidence, digital skills and entrepreneurial thinking. During the 16-week programme, participants will work in cross-border teams led by mentors from Latvia and Estonia. The training content will be jointly developed by experts from both countries to ensure access to the best tools and practises in the field.

As a result, the project will increase the participation of women in the digital economy and strengthen economic ties between Latvia and Estonia. It will also serve as a model for inclusive, flexible learning that promotes personal development and cross-border co-operation.
