Lunch & Learn

Across Estonia and Latvia, municipalities face a shared challenge: childhood overweight rates are too high, while too few children consume fresh fruits and vegetables daily. School and kindergarten meals are often unattractive, and teachers lack practical tools to integrate healthy diet and food origin topics into lessons. The aim of Lunch & Learn is to improve public catering services in municipal schools and kindergartens by developing and piloting a practical solution that makes meals tastier, healthier, and more attractive, while combining them with creative educational activities. Jointly developed solution, piloted in six educational institution, includes guidelines, teaching materials, and tools for teachers, chefs, and school managers, case studies from pilots etc.
