Creative Patterns

Following the decline of tourism and cross-border cooperation in the EU Eastern Border regions, many women aged 40+ in Ida-Viru (Estonia) and Vidzeme (Latvia) face limited employment opportunities and lack digital and entrepreneurial skills needed in today’s creative economy.

The project “Creative Patterns” was created to support women who want to start or develop a creative business in areas such as handicrafts, design, and creative services. The project focuses especially on improving digital skills, business development knowledge, and cross-border cooperation opportunities.

The project will provide practical workshops, mentoring, training camps, study visits, and networking activities in Estonia and Latvia. Through these activities, participants will improve their digital visibility, develop new products or services, strengthen entrepreneurship skills, and build long-term cross-border networks in the creative industries sector.

Expected results

The project will support at least 34 women entrepreneurs aged 40+ from Estonia and Latvia through a cross-border development programme. Participants will take part in workshops, mentoring sessions, training camps, study visits, and practical creative activities. The programme will help participants create digital portfolios, improve marketing skills, and develop new products or services.

The project will strengthen the competitiveness and confidence of women entrepreneurs in the EU Eastern Border regions. By creating cross-border networks and cooperation between Estonia and Latvia, participants will gain new business opportunities, visibility, and practical international experience. The project will also support regional economic development and promote long-term growth of creative industries in both countries.
