EMI – Enhancing young migrants’ employment opportunities
The EMI-project idea is based on the needs on the social integration of people with an immigrant background and EU studies that proved an entrepreneurial mindset to be a primary ingredient of sustainable development, success and strong communities. Our goal is to help young migrants find new opportunities and networks by offering them training that builds on this kind of mindset.
Mindset over matters
The project team creates the training content on the entrepreneurial mindset for young migrants. The training content adapts relevant experience and material from previous projects and includes mentorship to provide participants with real-life examples and expand their networks. But this isn’t just about learning skills – it’s about building confidence, encouraging people to take initiative, and helping them feel independent and connected to their community.
Work plan in a nutshell
We prepare a hybrid training programme combining both online and in-person sessions, mentorship from local business owners, and cross-border collaboration between Finland and Latvia. The programme also includes a joint three-day training session, where participants will share and present their ideas. Our multicultural team is working closely with young adults to create content that helps them succeed in labour market and become active members of their communities.
