Silver Entrepreneurs is a pioneering initiative dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship among the senior population. Our project aims to unlock the potential of seniors, empowering them to leverage their experience and wisdom in the entrepreneurial realm.

The mission we pursue

Our mission is to break down barriers and change perceptions about senior entrepreneurship. We strive to support and inspire seniors to explore and realize their entrepreneurial ambitions, contributing actively to the economy and society.

We adopt a holistic approach that encompasses mentorship, training, and network building. Our methods are tailored to address the unique challenges and strengths of senior entrepreneurs, combining practical skills with strategic guidance.

Objectives we strived for

The Silver Entrepreneurs project is dedicated to empowering seniors in the Central Baltic region to pursue entrepreneurship. Our key objectives included providing targeted resources and support to these aspiring entrepreneurs, fostering a network for mentorship and collaboration with business leaders, and advocating for societal and policy changes to create a more inclusive environment for senior entrepreneurship. Our ultimate goal was to establish a thriving ecosystem where the entrepreneurial potential of seniors is fully realized and valued.

The team behind the vision

Our team is comprised of highly skilled professionals with diverse expertise, ranging from accomplished entrepreneurs and seasoned business mentors to specialists in age-related questions. Our collective experience and expertise are pivotal in guiding these aspiring entrepreneurs towards achieving their business goals.

Results

• The Smart Seniors Academy for Entrepreneurship programme was successfully completed by 80 silver age individuals from the Central Baltic region, equipping them with comprehensive entrepreneurial skills.
• A joint Central Baltic entrepreneurship training programme was developed and fully implemented, including business simulations and a comprehensive suite of educational materials.
• Participants initiated both individual and collaborative entrepreneurship projects, each demonstrating strong potential for practical implementation and future success.
• In addition, at least 50 other organisations were actively engaged in project activities, fostering a broad cross-border network of cooperation and support.
• A comprehensive Silver Entrepreneurs Catalogue was developed and published, compiling innovative senior-led business ideas created within the Smart Seniors Academy and showcasing their strong implementation potential across the Central Baltic region.
