The BALT-FIN-CIDER project promotes craft ciders from Latvia, Estonia and Finland – made from pure apple juice, never from concentrates. Under the joint Baltic Cider brand, the initiative brings together producers and launches their ciders onto the Australian market. SMEs are provided with technical and practical knowledge. Market entry is supported by a targeted marketing campaign that introduces our craft ciders to trade professionals, retailers, the HORECA sector, and cider enthusiasts in Australia. Baltic Cider is a vibrant newcomer to the global cider community, reshaping perceptions of what cider can be.
The project will generate sales and contracts for a core group of 15 craft cider producers from Latvia, Estonia, and Finland. These producers will gain the knowledge, experience, and contacts needed to further expand in the Australian market. The marketing campaign will include presentations, participation in trade fairs, and entry into competitions to generate contacts and foster collaborations that lead to contracts and sales. This effort will pave the way for additional interested craft cideries in Central Baltic countries to follow and benefit from the project’s experience and outcomes.
