DiMod

DiMod project will develop digital primary information and peer support for patients with movement disorders.

Movement disorders are serious, progressive neurological conditions that significantly impact lives. Patients receiving a diagnosis need access to evidence-based information on symptoms, disease progression, and self-care strategies. There is a pressing need to modernise the way patients and their families receive primary information. The goal of the DiMod project is to improve the primary information services for movement disorder patients through digitalisation.

Expected results

As a result of DiMod project, a new digital way of providing primary information on movement disorders has been created.

In practice, the improvement of the primary information will be done by:

  • Conducting literature reviews and updating the evidence-based information
  • Modernising the formats how primary information is presented and gathering the materials to existing webpages
  • Organising user-panel session with experience specialists
  • Testing and developing an operating model for digital peer support in close collaboration with patients
  • Producing recommendations for healthcare professionals to direct patients to reliable sources of information and support
