Rural-UP

Rural enterprises in the partner regions face challenges due to their remote location and limited access to larger markets. Although food and beverage production is a key part of the local economy, most major companies are located in urban areas. This project aims to support the growth of 20 rural start-ups in the food and beverage sector and related industries. By helping these businesses scale up, the project will strengthen rural entrepreneurship and increase the competitiveness and cohesion of the Central Baltic region.

Expected results

The project will create and run a cross-border scaling-up programme for young rural companies (up to 5 years old) in the food and beverage sector. The programme will offer training, mentoring, networking, and participation in international events, with a focus on digital tools, packaging, logistics, and innovation. Selected companies will receive individual growth roadmaps and support to achieve goals such as attracting investment, entering new markets, or developing new products.
This project will bring a strong positive impact by helping rural start-ups grow faster and smarter across all partner regions. It will also strengthen cross-border cooperation and create a practical model that other support organisations can use in the future.
