New Nordic

Participating destinations and the region suffer from the loss of tourism demand from Russia. Project partners seek to diversify their offer for new markets outside the EU. They seek cross-border cooperation to increase competitiveness. New products combining the destinations and highlighting “New Nordics” in three project countries will be developed.

Expected results

The project will look the international tourism market for the high-end international customers and will promote sales of New Nordic products internationally with tour operators and OTA’s. Two target markets with most potential to reach, defined by tourist profiles and based on market research will be selected among United States, United Kingdom and Japan. The project will support sales via contracting between tour and transport operators bringing tourists to area, destination and incoming organisations and tourism enterprises. New target segments will be reached and new tourism business initiated in the Eastern flank of the Baltic Sea.
